Default Hurricane Precautions

It's that time of year again and it looks like we will be getting hit by Hurricane Dorrian probably on Saturday. It's predicted it will be downgraded to category 1 once it hits my Island home. I hope it gets downgraded to a tropical storm as they aren't all that bad.

I'm about 100 yards away from the water with a 20 foot elevation so hopefully water will not be an issue. I'm going to setup a shelter down in the basement in the event that my home suffers damage - time to get my diabetes supplies together as well as some non perishable food and water to deal with any potential "BAD" things that could happen. Living in the country I fully suspect the power will at least go out.

So all I need now is a little bit of luck as I've done what I can. Saturday is the day - however - at this time you would never suspect that a nasty hurricane is tracking this way.

Crazy

I live in earthquake country and my preparedness includes #1 being able to put my hands on a stash of fully-charged portable batteries

Hope Dorian spares you ... stay safe!
