Has anyone here actually reduced their CAC score?

If so, how and by how much?

I am trying Mg, K2,Fish oil, and D3.

Can you explain what this CAC score is? (haven't heard of it before)
I assume that one can have too high a serum calcium level?

CAC is Coronary Artery Calcium. It is a cat scan of your heart used to measure calcium build up in your artery walls. The test ranges on my test results were 0 no identifiable atherosclerotic plaque, 0-10 minimal identifiable plaque, 11-100 mild identifiable plaque, 101-400 moderate identifiable plaque, and Over 400 significant plaque burden. 0 is desirable, over 400 is bad. My total was 352 and I ended up with a quad bypass. Comparing the CAC scores with the diagram the surgeon gave me of where he did the bypasses, they didn't exactly match up. When I mentioned that on my 30 day post op check up with the surgeon, I was told calcium shown on the CAC score can be inside or outside of the arteries. Calcium deposits are very hard, my blockages were all soft plaque. I asked, so in my case I could have had no blockage and had a high number or I could have had the blockage I had and had a zero CAC score. The answer was a scary YES,

I guess even being on the outside calcium is also not good. Vitamin D3, along with vitamin K2 is supposed to help with calcium going to where it is supposed to. Don't know if it will lower it but it might.

My cardiologist had me switch from fish oil to krill oil about a year and a half ago, so I assume it is better for omega 3s.

I have heard that eating Natto, a fermented soy bean, or taking a nattokinase supplement helps clear pluggage in the arteries. Also a supplement called serrapeptase is also supposed to reduce blockage. I take a garlic supplement with nattokinase in it. I don't know that it is working or just gives me a peace of mind placebo effect. I'm thinking about trying serrapeptase because it is also known to be a good anti-inflamatory. I plan on doing more research on it before I try it though.

Edit: As far if my CAC score is lower, I don't know.
