Default Am I allowed?

I am the husband of a 65 year old female that has type 2 diabetes. I have registered in this forum to try to understand her condition, better than I do and to help her in any way I can. I do not have this condition personally, am I welcome here? Thanks[/I]

Sure you're allowed. We are always happy when family members take an interest.

Since you don't have D yourself, I moved this to the friends and family section.

So now that that's over, how can we help?

I was 63 when diagnosed with diabetes. I knew enough to start eating low-carb. This forum has helped me fine-tune my diet, which is how I control my diabetes (no meds or insulin) and my blood glucose level is near normal levels now.

If you want to understand diabetes better, I recommend this site: It is full of accurate information about diabetes, and the author cites her sources so you can check it all out if so inclined.

It is always good when a spouse gets on-board and is supportive. Kudos to you.
