But you also are right about EGOs being involved. They live in a culture that leads them to react with, "WHAT? I'm the DOCTOR here!" You combine that with their learning environment, the constant reinforcement of what they "know," about carbs, and it is a recipe for disaster.
I put it down to an insecurity and tunnel-vision.

Fun part here is that my GP told someone that between me and another chap I dont know in town there is no-one better controlled and who knows more including him. He is Diabetic himself after a car accident that damaged his pancreas somehow. There are some that will learn.
Anyway I only see him or his partners for emergency things and not D. I do it myself and see the Endo once a year as a general precaution. Maybe I should spend the money and go see him more often LoL.
