How To Insert Images Into Your Posts

5 Attachment(s)
Enter the comment you want to make...

Then click the attachment icon. (It looks like a paperclip)

Attachment 7274

A small window will pop up.

Click on "choose file".

Attachment 7282

Once you click on "choose file" another window will open up for you to navigate to where the image is located on your computer.

When you have located the image, clicking on it will automatically enter the file name of the image. Once that happens, click on "open".

Attachment 7290

You will then need to click the upload button. If you do not see it you may need to scroll to the right of the small window until you do.

Once that is done...

Simply click on the paperclip icon again and select the image you want to insert by clicking on the file name. This will insert the image to your post.

Attachment 7298

Your image will now display within the post, wherever you added the code. If you skip this final step, your image will still appear in the post, but at the bottom as an attachment.

Inserting Flickr Images

2 Attachment(s)
If you have a Flickr account and want to display an image from there here in the community, Flickr (and other similar image hosting sites) provides the code for you.

Simply go to the image on Flickr that you want to share.

Depending on your version, you will either see a curved arrow to the side of the image or below it.

Attachment 7306

When you click on it, a new window will open.

There will be an option to choose BB Code. Click on that. It will then offer you size options and will give you the code to add to your post.

Attachment 7314

The image will be displayed at the maximum size allowed in this community.

If the image you choose (using this method) is too large, it will automatically resize it for you with an option for the viewers to see it larger like in the example below.
