CGM tape question
 

Hi All!

I am on my first week (well few days..) of CGM, after YEARS of trying to get it!
I have the Medtronic CGM with the pump. They gave me IV 3000 adhesive with my order.
I find that it just doesn't stick all that well, and is kind of pricey (esp. if I need to change it out a little more often than normal).
Does anyone have any suggestions for adhesives that stick REALLY well??
I have never had to use adhesives for my pump sites, so this is pretty new for me!

try Skin Tac
it works pretty good at making the skin sticky so the tape will stick.

My doctor told me not to use skin tac with my cgm sensor she said it might mess with the readings. I buy some athletic tape and tape the whole thing down on my stomach.

I also have the medtronic pump and cgm.

Medtronic told me to cut the IV3000 into 2 pieces & cover the sensor with a small piece & overlap it with the larger piece. I personally dont think the small ones they sent are large enough to do this, I found a pretty good selection on eBay for a lot less than Medtronic wants.

I had tried doubling up on the IV3000, but that still didn't work.
I actually ended up buying a roll of Flexifix from Amazon.
It is amazing! It stays put for a week.
I highly recommend it to CGM users. Though I would suggest buying the 4 inch roll. I bought the 2 inch and I need 2 pieces to cover. But I don't mind!

I'll have to try the Flexifix if I get another cgm, I'm really unhappy with the reliability of the Medtronic & am sending it back.
