A few days ago, I asked about the effects of alcohol, i.e. wine in particular which I enjoy most afternoons at 4 pm. I saw no response but wonder how much effect a couple of glasses has on subsequent morning fast tests on others.
On Boxing day afternoon, I forgot to take my Metformin due to party atmosphere. Next morning Fast test was 8.3. The next 2 days, while being "good" with food intake, it was 7.4 this morning. It seems that it takes a couple of days to bring the number down. It isn't just "proper eating" for one day to make the number acceptable (below 7).
This has worked both ways for me. When my fast number is good, and I sin, the number still is good for a couple of days.
