- About JLVaughn
- I'm a research mathematician. Not a very dirty job, but someone has to do it.
For our 30th anniversary, I bought flying lessons for my young bride (She still looks 22.). After she had been flying for a while, I started lessons. At my second airman's medical, the examiner found "trace amounts of sugar in my urine." That should have been the start of my diabetes "adventure," but I put it off for a couple months.

Low carb diet. 5gms of sodium/day.
Had borderline high BP for years. Low carb diet reduced BP to "normal" lowest it ever was in my memory in about 3 months. Phinney and Volek recommend 5 gms of sodium once your BP drops. I have found that helpful.
