- Your experiences with diabetes
- I can't say much has been positive about this disease, except that I am quite healthy otherwise. Self discipline is key to managing it, and that seems to be easy for me. The hardest part is when I have severe insulin reactions and I don't know what I am doing, nor do I allow anyone to help me. 3 times an ambulance has been called, and once apparently I had seizures. I remember nothing. I have never been hospitalized, but I have wondered if my behaviors during those episodes indicate I am crazy. It scares me, but there is no diabetes counseling available here, so I get some comfort from this site and comments from other folks who describe similar behaviors.
