- Retired shift supervisor in power department at paper mill. Enjoy messin' around with grandkids, horses, garden, and piddling out in my shop. Have gotten more serious about exercise, walking and/or riding a bike daily.

- Dealing with it now has forced me to search for a better way to take care of me. That is a positive that I think is going to make me healthier on all fronts. Not doing something when the doctors casually mentioned if my BG didn't come down I'd have to get on medication is a big negative. It is my opinion now that type 2 diabetes progression will be greatly delayed and even prevented if dealt with swiftly. Type 2 complications can be prevented if blood glucose levels are controlled even if you eventually become insulin dependent.
