My husband STILL is suffering from very paintful neuropathy from the shingles. He now has a box of lidoderm patches and this morning applied the first patch.

Since you and/or your wife have used it, I have a couple questions about it:

The adhesive appears to be rather strong.Does removal cause any pain, or does it continue to deaden the skin until it's removed (in which case the skin would not feel the pull of the adhesive - which I what we are hoping).

He has pain up the back of his neck near the hairline. Any patch there would be on top of hair. I was wondering if the adhesive is so strong that it would pull hair out.

Thanks for helping him out with this.

PS: he has an appointment tomorrow (Wed.) morning early to have a spinal block to help relieve him of the severe pain. It is so bad on his neck, across his shoulder and down onto his chest, that he hasn't been able to wear any clothing over that area - for a few weeks now.

What dose of GABA per day, please. I'm trying to learn what's required for pain.
