    HI S.

I'm intrigued and hopeful when I read that you are not on meds. You have a dx date close to mine. My numbers have slipped since original dx and I am scrambling to get them back in order. A few questions if you don't mind. What was your most recent A1c value and date? What is your height and weight, and how many total calories do you think you consume? Have you lost a significant amount of weight since dx?

Thanks, and I love reading your posts.

    James

If you're not taking insulin or meds which can directly lower glucose (Metformin doesn't to this), fasting should be no problem at all. In fact it is very beneficial. Just don't change what you eat and beware of indulging in the TONS of carbs Muslims are eating in the month. Just stick to LC/HF and you'll be fine.

Is there a way to get a free copy of the following studies:

"Is diabetes an acquired disorder of reactive glucose metabolites and their intermediates?"

"Methylglyoxal, advanced glycation end products and autism: is there a connection?"

I saw you referring to these or linking to these in various threads but you have to buy them to read them. I can't seem to find a free version anywhere.
