Welcome aboard, Yogesh . . . and for a crash course in diabetes, you could spend a couple hours prowling around this site - Blood Sugar 101 - and ask us all the questions you have. We're here to help.

Welcome aboard our group from around the globe. We're glad to meet you and we'll help anyway you need. There are several members from India who can aid you also. I hope you are reading BS101 and learning a lot. She's done a lot of research and sure helped me understand the condition better.

Good luck,

~~ Hi yogesh ~~ and welcome to our community.

You will learn a lot here. Please do read the Blood Sugar 101 web site. I learned a great deal from her website. Jenny Ruhl is a type 2 that has been researching the scientific studies for many years, so most of her advice is based on solid research. There is a lot to digest on her site, but it is all very helpful.

And please do come back and share your experiences and questions with us. This is a very caring community, and nearly everything we experience someone else has also experienced and can help with their personal insights.

Gretchen

Hi, yogesh. Many of us eat low carb/high fat to control our blood glucose (bg). This website should be helpful to you in deciding what to eat. LCHF for beginners | DietDoctor.com

Besides testing your fasting bg, it is important to eat to your meter by testing 1 and 2 hrs. after eating. If either of those readings are 7.8 mmol/L (which is where diabetic complications can begin) or above, remove the food from your diet that caused the spike, then eat fewer carbs at your next meal. Before long you will know which foods you can and can't eat and about how many carbs you can eat per meal and still control your bg.

Welcome aboard.

Hello Yogesh,

There is one thing consistent about the members from India who join up here. They make a few posts (most times 1) and disappear. I hope you are not one of them. If you stick around I'm sure you'll find ways to manage your D.
