Hello CPT Ramos, welcome to our communiity! I am curious, I thought diabetics were not permitted in the armed forces in the USA. Were you diagnosed some time after you joined? I hope you are doing well using insulin. If you need to ask questions please do. We are here to help!

I have been type 1 for 63 years and I am very healthy. If we have good control we diabetics can live long healthy lives.

Richard

Hello, and welcome to the board. I'm insulin dependant (on a pump), but still a Type 2.

Yes, Richard is right, I'm 62, and I've been a diabetic for 25 years, so we can live a long healthy life.
