Thumbs up Hello! New to the boards

Hey Everyone!!

I thought it prudent to finally register since I've lurked so much in the past. I'm a 29 year old man that was diagnosed with Type 2 in late 2011. Although I have that diagnosis I think I'm more the 1.5 or 1 since I've started the insulin about a year ago. Since I don't have insurance I have to pick and choose all the tests that I get and for now the insulin has kept me at a A1C of 5.5...just got that today actually!!

I've always been a healthy person, or so I thought. I ate well, exercised, so forth, but I suppose having this condition means I have even more of a reason to stay heath focused.

Before now I have avoided signing up or talking with like minded people about the D, I guess I didn't want to give into, but alas I think it can only help.

I also came on here for some very specific questions I'll get to elsewhere, for now it's a big hello to everyone out there. Can't wait to improve my health and hopefully help others out when I can as well.
