Hello All, This is my first post. I am a type1. I have been for 55 years. I'm told that I am doing great but I have moments when I don't agree. I guess we all do. I'm here to look for information and try to help where I can. I have lived with T1 all my life so I really don't know any other way. With that being said I also have never been to diet classes. I don't treat my diabetes by the book rules. I look at my meals and from experience I carb count, medicate and eat! Like I said I am not a textbook diabetic but I am doing well doing things my way. I hope that everyone here can find their own way and live full lives...... Dave

Hello Dave,

A good strategy for T1s is to reduce carbs in diet and use the minimum amount of insulin to keep BG stable 24/7. Please share your regimen and how you looked after yourself all these years.
