Personally, I've tried several herbs that are supposed to help blood sugar and nothing really had any substantial impact. I find that eating low carb, high fat along with metformin is the best combination for me. Others may have had luck with herbs but anytime I tried them, it was just an unfortunate waste of money.

There's no substitute for reducing what causes high blood sugar - carbs.

Scott? If you want to get serious about lowering your blood sugar, then the quickest best way is to adopt the low-carb/high-fat way-of-eating, guidelines of which are found here.

And if you're interested in learning more about your newly discovered disorder, then spend a few days studying here.

We can give you much support and some guidance, but you must do the heavy lifting yourself, and there is no silver bullet, magic pill or herbal supplement to let you off the hook.

If you don't have a meter, then go get one and start testing every day - about ten times a day to start with.
