Now that you mention this I haven't woke up with a really dry mouth in quite a while. I use to wake up and my mouth was so dry a could hardly swallow. Years ago I blamed it on being a heavy beer drinker and figured it was the alcohol dehydrating me. But in the early 2000's I stopped the heavy drinking but my dry mouth didn't go away. My dental hygienist gave some solution you mix with water and shake it to activate it then swish it around but I never noticed it made any difference besides a really clean mouth.

Before being Dx with D I never drank water, the only water I got was in beer, coffee and pop. Since then I have be drinking 80 to 100 ounces of water a day. So lowing my BS and drinking all this water must of helped with the dry mouth.

Just another bonus to keeping BS under control

oao - When I started taking Metformin and lisinopril doc told me I needed to drink a lot of water. Let us know if you get it figured out and what your doctor visit reveals.

Daytona and auntiekris like this.
