I don't really understand insulin to carb ratio,presently I take one unit of insulin for ten carbs breakfast is usually 77 carbs
I can't see Endocrinologist until may and same goes for diabetes clinic

4.1 is at least not a true low, but understandable you'd feel shaky with swings. It's close to where you need to pay attention though for sure.

I'm thinking as you narrow your blood glucose range, which you seem to be in the process of doing, that you'll lose that shakiness in the 4's (70's).

It might be helpful to you to pick up one of these books, which explain how to use insulin and how to make corrections.

Diabetes Solutions by Dr. Richard Bernstein
Some of his book is online but I'm not sure the insulin:carb ratio discussion is.

Depending on how large your community is, you might be able to find one or the other at your library.

Ive had 5 injections int both my eyes now.
My doctor says the left eye has improved slightly and the right has stopped hemorrhaging.He says that 2 more should be all that is required.
My Bg levels are a lot better now also.Its pretty consistent as long as I dont influence the highs with deviations in my diet.

Still learning and developing but I'm happy that some things have improved.

I'm still in the process of fine tuning my diabetes.
