Thanks for sharing.....I too have lost weight following a low carb regiment....55lbs in three years. 320lbs. down to 265 so far. I need to go another 65 and I will be at a healthy weight.

I found early on that when eating low carbs, I have to also eat added amounts of fat! By doing this I lost all cravings for carbs and felt really full all the time, even though I was eating a lot less food!

I am not familiar with the Atkins Induction Diet....does it increase fat intakes? Does it watch daily caloric intake as well as carbs?

What's important, as you know is that we find something that works for us....and you have! Congratulations and keep it going....

ATKINS -YES ADDS FAT AS YOU GO it is LCHF DIET NO HUNGER PAINS OR CRAVINGS and more veggies etc... , carbs counted only because if your eating low carb thats what matters carbs , 1 time on Atkins i lost 92 lbs in 9 months , this time I lost 70 IN 7 months and want to another 25-30 yet so i am ideal weight. Starts at 20mg carbs a day , Im glad you found low carb to be helpfull also- so many have.

I started out with Atkins Induction/PhaseI because it was easy - just printed out their food list (which also lists carbs per portion) from the website and built my meals from that. As I began to understand the importance of fats, I added in more of them (which doesn't change the carb level of the diet). I still think this is a good place to start modifying one's diet for diabetes, especially for someone who hasn't a clue how to do it.

I frequently want to scream at people like I used to be.....morbidly obese! I remember going to eat breakfast and having almost pure carbs.....

Thank God I found this, it is so easy and works so fast.....

Good Stuff it is.....

Someday, someone is going to make a pgillion bucks selling Low Carb High Fat dieting.....I think Atkins is missing the bet, it got to sound like Low Carb High Fat....it was the High Fat that got me in...

If it had diet in it, I had tried many, many, they never stuck! Give me fat and I am a happy camper.....
