Default Thank you!

Hi, I'm Mrs. Smith. I'm new here and the reasons I register because I want to help my friend who diagnoses a Diabetes type 2 and I want to understand her and to prove to her that she is still lucky despite her sickness and she's not the only one in her situation right now. I'm hoping I can meet a friend also here and will help me. Thank you.

Hello, and welcome to the forum!

There are hundreds of people active on this Web site, so your friend has lots of company. Diabetes can be very manageable. That does require us to actively manage our diabetes through what we eat, how we exercise, and, sometimes, with medication. But many people here are living full lives and not letting their diabetes best them.

Please feel free to keep reading (and invite your friend to do so, too!) and ask any questions you still have.

Hi there and welcome. Do you also have diabetes too or is the type 2 diagnosis in your signature for your friend?

I highly commend you for wanting to be proactive for your friend, and for yourself, if you too are also diabetic. You are doing a very good thing and are a good friend indeed.

You are absolutely right that she is still lucky despite her sickness. Many of us here will attest that we are actually healthier now after finding out we had diabetes. We began seeking more information about diabetes and its management and as a result have found out if we make the necessary changes to control our BG, other health issues we might also have, have started making improvements as well.
