Hi, and welcome, Kupcakes. Blood Sugar 101 is a super place to learn and we are a nosy bunch, so tell us more about your weight...are you happy with it...what meds do you use...what's your diet like... and anything else you'd like to share. We have several long term diabetics who will be along soon, so feel free to read our forum's archives also.

Good luck,

It is nice to meet you, Kupcakes! I am glad you are going to take good care of yourself now. Do you use multiple injections, or an insulin pump? I hope you use carb counting to determine your bolus dosages. That helps a lot! The book "Using Insulin" by John Walsh is a good purchase. If you use a pump, then "Pumping Insulin" by the same author is also very good.

I have been type 1 for 66 years, and am very healthy. Take good care of yourself so you can have a long, healthy life too.

Richard
