Default Back Again

I'm actually an old member who joined shortly after my t1 diagnosis in 2007. I think my username was Cassie503. Somehow I forgot my password and couldn't get back on. Then I went on to years of thinking I was invulnerable to diabetic complications. I gained weight and then started getting some problems with my hands and feet.

Anyway, I am reforming myself. That little taste of diabetic neuropathy has made a believer of me. I'm re-reading all of Dr. Bernstein's books and recipes.

I'm having a total hip replacement at the end of this month and my anxiety has been over the top.

Anyway, glad to be back on the forum.

Welcome back, Cassie! I'm much newer here -- probably only about a year or so since I started posting. But the site has been invaluable to me as a source of support. It is amazing, isn't it, how, after only a little while, we think we can get away with behaviors that bit us in the backside before?

Good luck with your coming hip replacement. In the meantime, I look forward to seeing posts from you!

Thanks*** This forum has changed radically.
I can't figure out how to upload my picture. Maybe I'm too new and don't have that privilege yet.

Cassie, when you create a post, do you see an square icon that looks like a mountain and a planet? I don't remember offhand how many posts you need to have before that's an option. But if you see that icon, click it and then you can put in the URL of the picture you want to put in your post.

Or, Go Advanced edit which will give you more options. Scroll down to "Manage Attachments' and you can attach an image from your computer.

After five posts, you can add attachments, send PMs, etc.

Since you were here a new section was added to help new folks with forum options. You might find some things there you didn't know from before.

I also want to welcome you back to the forum.

I'm sorry you have to have hip replacement. I know what you mean about the anxiety level associated with it. I've known several people with hip and knee replacements and they have been very glad they did it. Best of luck to you with this.

Look below at "Quick Reply" - it's one of the icons above the text space. It also appears when you click on "Edit"

It's below the words "Quick Reply" and above the blank box where one types into.
