Hi Phil, welcome to the forum. This is a great place to learn what has best worked for us. With us all being a little different, things work better for some than others, but I bet you can find what works best for you from all the things we may do. Best way to judge what works best, is to test.

How have you been managing for the last 3 years?

Hi Phil - WELCOME!

The glucose monitoring is great in making sure you are aware of your blood sugar. But you mentioned that you are looking to learn ways to better monitor your diabetes. In order to give some advice, we need to know what you are doing to keep your blood sugar low.

things like:

Diet
Medications and dosage
exercise

what are your numbers and what steps have you taken? We are all here to assist

Which one did you get? I recently got the Dexcom G6 and am besotted with it! Like you, I have learned so much. I was testing 10x/day plus, trying to figure out why my bg wasn't responding the way it used to. No way could I have tested enough to reveal what the CGM did.

The biggest thing I learned was the how/when effect of protein on my bg. What's the most helpful thing you learned?
