Hi all I have been a type 1 now for 12 years and at first I didn't want to accept it. My first hba1c was 13.9 after the years went on I finally started to take care of my self. I use to be a pain to be around if ya know what I mean. I always wanted to be put on the pump. August of last year it happened my hba1c was 10.8. After 3 mths went back to doc and had it recheck and it went to 6.5. I also just had one done again from the doctors it was a 6.1. My kids tell my dad please don't get rid of your insulin pump your a much nicer person.

What a great improvement! You have obviously learned a lot about pumping. Your A1c at 6.1 is super!! I hope you can keep it as good as that for many years to come.

I was diagnosed in 1945, when I was 6, and am very healthy after 66 years of type 1. I have used a pump for 5 years and wish I had started 20 years ago.

If you have any questions, this is a good place to ask! Keep up the good work.

I have been Type 1 for 73 years. My A1c is 6.2. I pump with the MM 630, and I am using the Dexcom G5.
