No medals for me Richard - I'm not sure if they give them to people living in Canada - I'm aware of the studies they have been doing at Joslin - in regard to that group of people who have been living with Type 1 for a long time - it gives one encouragement for sure!

rsfletcher, the Joslin medals are available to T1 people all over the world. I think that includes Canada.

Hi Richard, it's nice to meet you. I was diagnosed in 2017 as T2. I'm doing very well. I've learned so much from this forum . I hope you continue to post and spread your knowledge.

Hi alamogirl, this is a great support group, especially for T2. There are not very many members with T1, so I probably won't post very often.

Good luck to you!!

Richard is a very valuable resource for Type 1's. He was inactive for a few years and then started posting again in March of this year, but has shown to be inactive since. He may be checking in off and on without logging on. Hopefully he has notifications turned on and will respond soon. If not, you can click on his username in the post, go to his profile page, select the statistics tab and view all his posts.
