Hi Mike

The Libre is the only sensor I have used so I can't compare it to anything else. Its easy to insert and completely painless to wear. I find that the connection may be lost for a short amount of time now and again but the advantages and peace of mind it gives me easily out-weigh this dissadvantage.

There are some supply issues here in the UK but I am unsure if this also applies in other countries.

Even though there is usually some difference between blood glucose readings compared to scanned readings, I find this tends to be more aparant just after a meal. So with active insulin burning away inside me, as well as food my readings are different and this makes sense. It takes time for sugar to reach interstitial fluid compared to capilliary fluid. However. when insulin is burnt up after peak time and 4 hours duration of Humalog, my blood glucose and scanned readings with the Libre can be identical. This applies with every meal at different times of the day and this works for me.

This stuff is always in my mind, I feel like a walking insulin pump and pin cushion! If you already know this stuff then just ignore it. So bye for now and I'm about to take my Levemir!
