Originally diagnosed November 1991, I had an extreme amount of stress going on and believe that to be the trigger. However, I experienced symptoms early in life. If I didn't eat every few hours, I would get an extreme migraine. Excruciating pain, sensitively to light and vomiting. Also of note is that my mother lost 2 children between myself and my brother whom is 6 years my junior. One was stillborn, the other died a few days after birth due to immunological issues. Currently I am on a Dexcom G6 and a T-Slim X2 pump trying my best to control this monster. Hopefully, a cure will come soon. Or at least a less invasive therapy, such as Bigfoot Biomedical's closed loop system.
Cheers, Mike

Welcome, Mike! I'm sorry to read how rough the road has been for you.

Besides the pump, how are you managing what you eat and your activity level?

My activity levels are nominal due to severe back pain and general pain. I have had multiple surgeries, 2 low back, 1 neck, both rotator cuffs, and both knees scoped. I also tried the Synvisc generic injections in my right knee but they haven't helped. I have degenerative disc disease which is causing issues with my back. I am also just tired of dealing with this monster, burnout as my Endo calls it! I am currently not eating well either due to my living arrangement. As soon as I get my home sold, I will be moving back with my wife and I hope it helps. 😉
