I can only speak from experience, but the meds (metformin and glipizide) made no difference for me. Sustained high blood glucose, feeling ill and as mentioned, stress can put a damper on things....

After just about every inset change, I notice my BG raises significantly (160-170). I'm pretty sure I know how to prime the inset and canula, so I doubt that's the problem.
