Yeah... also not sure I'd eat the brand I buy straight off a spoon but then I don't (often) eat butter that way either :-) I do find it fine to add a spoonful straight to a soup or stock though......

I was the same James... OK till about 2 minutes in... so far they just sieved it to get rid of extra bits, passed it by a magnet for safety and then squeezed it to get out the oil -- no problem!
