Also, I’d like to know why my sugar spikes when it’s been hours since eating. Like sometimes in the late afternoon it goes up to 140-150 range for no reason.

I try to keep it no higher than 140 after meals.

For fasting it is usually about 110, sometimes in the 90s.

Testing pain

Ideally you are supposed to test before meal, 1 hr post meal, and 2 hr post meal. Thatís a lot of pricks in one day. My finger gets blue and sensitive. How do you all deal with the pain and soreness?

Also, Xigduo is a combo drug. It contains Metformin XR and Farxiga. The benefit is I only need to manage one drug rather than two. However the Xigduo is a giant pill, not the easiest to swallow.

What is the deal with fruits? Can I eat them? Can I eat any fruit I want? Iíve heard fruits like pineapple and pears are too high in fructose for diabetics. I have so many questions.

Interesting thread. I’ve heard that even zero calorie sweetners like Splenda and Stevia can trick the body into thinking it was given sugar. Is this true?
