Actually, I read that if you want to lose weight, you should breath more air in and out, as it's the oxygen burned (replaced with CO2) that is making you lose weight. :)

I don't think so. You might be able to minimize the need for insulin by eating less carbohydrates but if you don't make any insuline yourself, you're going to need to inject it (pump/pen).
