As has been stated, diabetes is a disease of insulin resistance, NOT high blood sugar. High blood sugar is only a symptom.

What Are Your Post Meal BG Targets?

Just wondering what are other people's post meal BG targets and times?

My doctor said less than 150 after 2 hours but I have been shooting for less than 140 after 1 hour.

I'm taking 1000 mg a day of Metformin and 10 mg a day of Atorvastatin.

Cant remember exactly what I had for dinner those nights but it is usually some meat with salad with shredded cheddar on top...

FBG: 141
A1C: 6.5

The doc put me on 1000 mg of Metformin a day.
