There have been several medical studies over the past couple of years indicating that higher levels of blood glucose are associated with higher incidences of COVID-19 infection. My question has been "how much higher"? A recent study in BMJ (fka the British Medical Journal) by researchers at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute shows that an A1c over 9 is associated with a 50% greater chance of needing ICU care for a COVID-19 infection. That number seems high based on the posters here who volunteer their A1c levels, but I'll guess most of us know someone whose blood glucose is poorly controlled. (n.b., the study does not seem to include any effect of vaccination, though it was started a little early for that to be a real factor.)

You can read more about this study here.

After I had covid, I had complications in the form of cystitis. I can't say that it is a severe disease and somehow interferes with my life, but it still makes me uncomfortable. Sometimes it is very annoying to run to the toilet every 20 minutes. I have been to many doctors' consultations, and they all say that there is nothing they can do. Only one of them advised me to order a remedy on this website, mcdaidpharmacy.ie, which helps to fight cystitis. It doesn't get rid of the disease one hundred percent, but it allows me to relax at least a little bit.

Hi bingoo, welcome. Looking forward to introduction. Curious about what diabetes meds you take if you are type 2.
