I have had hypothyroid really bad, normality from 3-5 on average mine was 248, i have had this corected but was at .1 for more than a year recently when i got my meds adjusted my labs came back with some wierd numbers so they sent me to an Endocronologist. While i was there they did a finger prick and said my A1C was 13.5. The odd thing is that i NEVER have had any of the symptoms that come with diabetes. My question is can my hypothyroid effect these number and I have been recently taking my blood sugar and even after fasting it's near the 300 however i still feel great actually with no symptoms of diabetes.

Sometimes your body can adjust to functioning normally with a high blood sugar..............but that doesn't mean it's okay and should stay that way. Did your doctor give you any medicines to lower your blood sugar? What kind of follow up did your doctor suggest?
