Hi all I've posted elsewhere but I thought I'd tell you a little bit about myself. I was diagnosed type 2 I believe about 2 months ago. When I started seeing my current doctor I was very ill. I couldn't stay awake for more than 4 hours at a time and I felt very fatigued and listless much of the time. Needless to say I had no life! After two months on metformin and glyburide I now can stay away most days all day until the night when I sleep for an almost normal 6 or 8 hours. I still get tired and have naps sometimes but who doesn't like a nap.
I'm 39 years old and I'm on disability benefits rights now. I am a fine artist, I don't make a living at it but I have sold work. Its not a hobby and its not a profession exactly. It really is a calling. During the last few years I was not able to do anything physical because of the fatigue, but I've started painting again! I can't tell you what a good feeling it! I'm only 2 months into treatment and I've started walking with my daughter. I'm still using my walker but things are definately looking up.
I'm enjoying reading everyone's posts on the site, I'm really glad to be here.
