Thank you for introducing yourself Sweety. That's Wonderful that you paint. A Great way to express yourself. Are you drawn to any particular style? My Daughter and myself sketch. She uses pastels. I just use pencils and charcoal. My older Brother enjoyed painting pictures which he sold many of or gave them to People who wanted them. He also painted signs for businesses. Those he charged for. My Cousin paints and just gives them away. I'm Glad that you are doing that. My Friend said her Friend sells her
paintings on the net but I didn't ask what site it was. I'm sure there are many. Good for you.

You're certainly a Newbie concerning your Diabetes. It takes some time. Many People stay in denial for many years and ignore their health. I'm Glad that you are facing it head on. I'm sure that you will succeed with this disease.

Ooo you certainly have alot of artist in your family. So interesting that you also do drawing as well Terri! I don't think I can really nail myself down to a style, its somewhat realistic. Here is one of my paintings to give you an idea.

Ya, we do have a few but in our immediate Family my older Brother was the only one who who went into it seriously. The rest of us just did it for Fun and relaxation. Oh...the Best that my Dad and youngest brother could do was stick men.

Wow, you are an artist! What a Wonderful painting. Now I know I couldn’t do that Good a job with a brush. Ha! Not even close. Was anyone in particular the subject?

Some of the styles are so close aren't they? You think it’s Realistic? You could be right. It also could be Impressionism. We’d be honoured if you’d like to show it in the “Photo Gallery”.

I love Good pictures…..hmm...obviously, not as much as Annie though.

I hear you about the brush work Terri, I drew for many years before ever attempting even color! Its one of the rare painting when I drew from my imagination. I'd love to see some of your drawings Terri. Thanks for your kind comments. <3

HA! What a coincidence. I'm a total chicken when it comes to "painting" a picture because I'm afraid of failing and wrecking it. One Birthday many years ago, my Husband asked me what I wanted for my gifts. I said I wanted 20 different colours of paint, 3 canvasses, an easel, a Good selection of horsehair paint brushes, a couple palets, etc. He bought them and believe it or not I still haven't painted a picture. That's awful.


I agree with Peter. I like a picture that I can recognise and admire the technique, blends of colour, the shadowing, highlights, etc. Or an abstract with pretty colours.

I couldn't believe it. About 5 years ago, the wise People at our National Art Centre bought a painting. It consisted of a big red circle on a white background. These wise People handed over, 1 million of the taxpayers dollars....for a painting of the flag of Japan. I just shake my head...
they could have bought a Good-sized flag and hung it at the Art Centre for a Heck of a lot cheaper.

Regretfully, I've lost many sketchings in our moving processes. I particularly liked a portrait I did of my Husband when he was younger(most of my sketches were on 8x11 drawing pads. Except for the one's I did for Hallowe'en's, Christmass's, Birthday's. Those I threw out since most of them were too big to keep.

I think I still have the pic I took of the sketch I did for my Son for his Birthday sign, of Bart, years ago. He thought Bart was the Greatest. I think, he still thinks that. I may have a few of the 8x11's somewhere also. I'll check. I should get back into sketching....not that I have the time.

OMG!!! Well, now I'm thinking that they must have bought at least one for every Province and Territory. Aren't we all just Lucky. Obviously both you and I received a questionable mark in Art Appreciation Class.

Ugh! Okay, I'll remember that. When I do something, I like to do it right the first time though. I guess I should try it sometime soon.
