My father has just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and I wanted to give him actos but i'm not sure... It's a medicine for diabetes type 2 and well, my dad doesn't suffer from anything else... do you think it's advisable to give him this medicine?

Actos use for type 2 diabetes.

Do not use if you:
• are allergic to any ingredient in Pioglitazone
• have moderate to severe heart failure
• have type 1 diabetes
• have a history of liver problems, including jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), during therapy with a similar medicine called troglitazone.

Good luck.

Actos is a very common medication prescribed to reduce insulin resistance in Type 2 diabetics. It has helped many people.
