Hi-

I just found out my insurance company (Cigna) will no longer cover my test strips for the Bayer Contour Next Link Glucometer. Unfortunately, this is the only meter that interfaces with my Medtronic paradigm pump. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what do you do?

Thanks

Yes, the doctor needs to fill out the forms, or write a letter and tell them these strips are medically necessary. The meter uploads information to carelink, where your doctor can monitor your numbers.

Good Luck

I had trouble with my husbands insurance company and the cost of contour next test strips. Well, I found them online for from 19 cents per strip to 22 cents per strip. We ordered 300. It took 6+ days for the order to arrive but they were all in date and just as good as the strips that CVS and Walgreens were charging $1.00 per strip. Tax and all I paid walgreens $113 for 100 strips when we ran out before we could get a new prescription. Try Amazon.com if the insurance wont cover the strips. Insurance companies are the pits. Our retirees insurance was switched to Freedom Blue ppo. They will no longer cover Ronnies CGM supplies. Hope you get your problem solved.
