I had the angiogram Monday and the doctor tried 4 stents on my right femoral and failed each time...I have two large blockages that have calcified and he suggested I wait until mid-July and he would try another procedure. Because of my allergy to the dye, I was higher than a kite on steroids and had to stay in the 'step down' unit overnight. When I got home, I called and made an app't with my cardiologist and took all pertinent info including a copy of the angiogram and ultrasound and went Friday for a consult with his brother who is also a vascular surgeon and WHOOPEE, he said he would not recommend another procedure as my body has produced good corollary circulation and he feels it is not necessary and probably won't be ever!

Second opinions are always a good precaution...gotta remember that, but I would still have had to have the angiogram.:D
