Granted, most of us are here because we already have diabetes, but if we're watching our sugar and starch (carb) intake, perhaps we're compensating for some of the negative effects of diabetes.“A diet that helps to protect against insulin resistance is the number one factor” [in living longer healthfully.] Minimizing consumption of [sugar and starch] is directly linked to aging well because they are both linked to insulin resistance as well as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and even depression.
