:welcome: Hi Rod! Did you take a class at your local diabetes chapter or at a local hospital? I have taken a diabetes self-management class a couple of different times at a couple different places. Next Monday I start my "Thinking like a pancreas" class. It is for T2 on insulin. I can't wait! Glad to hear that you are keeping your numbers under control. My doctor wanted me to try Januvia but it has a tendency to cause gastrointestinal problems so I didn't try it. I have never known anyone who has taken that. This is a really good forum, there are many smart folks on here. Come and visit often.

Hi breezeonby, i took the class at the local hospital, they covered a lot including nutrition. We even had a 1 on 1 with the nurse for one hour outside of the class times, so i was pretty happy with everything that was covered there.
I have to take januvia with a meal or it will mess me up.
