I read somewhere that diabetics usually have high arches. I have been having lots of pain in the arches of my feet, so I guess I need more arch support. I tried Dr. Scholl's shoes a couple of times, but the arch supports are in the wrong place for my feet, which causes even more pain. Has anyone else had arch pain, and how did you resolve the problem?

I have had plantar facitis for many years before D. I don't think the 2 are related. When you have arch problems from flat feet, high arches or collasped arches the ligaments underneath the arch get stretched out and cause pain and possibly heel spurs. I wear specific orthodics that support the arch and just bought some Ortaheel Sandals which are suppose to realign your feet. They also have walking shoes which I may purchase if I like these.
