Hello Arthur, welcome aboard! I don't remember what I ate before I was diagnosed, so I don't miss anything. I was diagnosed in 1945, when I was 6. After 65 years of type 1 I am very healthy. With patience and hard work you have a great chance of leading a long, healthy life.

Richard :)

Arthur, my book is an autobiography. Many topics are also explored, whih gave me my good control, but it is not a book intended to teach people how to get control. There is information in my profile about linking to my amazon page and buying my book.

If you want a book that teaches you how to use insulin to get the best possible control, then buy "Using Insulin" by John Walsh. He also wrote the book "Pumping Insulin".
