:rolleyes:I dont like to talk about myself.I am a very short southern lady.I have a carotid artery thing -a- my -jig,so thats what I am doing here.Need help with my diet.She says since I am pre diabetic this place can help me.I walk about 1-1 1/2miles every day.:eek:

Welcome to the forum. I don't know much about different heart problems but I do know a lot about diabetes. Having pre diabetes is diabetes in its early stages. You need to find out all you can about diabetes and what your bgs are, especially after meals. I remember when I was first dx'd I had no idea what normal bgs were so I really didn't know how high mine were. Check out Blood Sugar 101 for a good discussion about normal bgs and how to get them. You may have to change certain foods and may have to eliminate some that cause you to spike. Also you may have to increase your exercise, I started with 1 mile and now walk 3-5 most days for the best control.
