Hi, I'm new to everything, so I have a newbie question :)

What is considered to be good bedtime glucose? I just measured 8.8mmol ( approx 160mg/dl). I can't seem to find a conclusive answer by searching the Internet.
Thanks

I don't think there's just one value anyone could point to as "good." We do know that BG levels above 140 (7.8 mmol/L) cause damage to internal organs, so you'd probably want to aim for 7.8 or lower to avoid that damage.

On the other hand, depending on your individual eating plan and exercise levels and other health conditions you may have, you may need to work your way to closer BG control before you can feel comfortable getting much lower than 7.8 or even 7.0. Some doctors also take issue with insulin-dependent diabetics going for BG levels under 7.0 (that does not necessarily mean they're right; just that that may be their training talking).
