Hi all,
signed up few months ago, but only just got round to introducing myself.
I'm Fergus, Diag T2 april 2008, Bleed Stroke survivor. Tested annually for BG but not picked up until stroke.
Originally on Lantus/Novorapid but weaned off to 40mg Glic and falling.
HA1c down at 6.0 at present.
Was in IT and finance but thanks to recession no one wants to risk employing me:mad:
Exercise by walking a mad brown border collie:D
A low carber :amen:

welcome Fergus. :) It sounds like you have things under control.
there's lot of support/advice here. I'm type 2 also, but on full time insulin as apparently I no longer produce enough of my own. Look forward to hearing your experiences.

Well Fergus, it's good to finally meet you - welcome aboard! Hope you have time to visit us often . . . I'm going to want to hear more, not only about how you manage your diabetes, but about this "mad" dog of which you speak. :D :D :D

Shanny,Hi, The little girl in question, has now taken her place as my pic. She is a six (soon to be seven) year old brown border collie which I got "off the farm" and being of farming stock she is a natural herder: geese, ducks, children! She loves children (whom she has decided that God put on earth to play with her) with whom she is very affectionate.
