Hi there!

It's been a while since I last posted here, so maybe I'd better introduce myself once more.

My name is Cathy, I'm 37 and I'm a type 1. Diagnosed in 2002, I have done shots and now on a pump for 2 years.

I'm very active on our Belgian forum, but I love to expand my horizon, so that's why I come here to seek more answers in improving my A1c.

Hope to get to know you :) And if you have any questions: shoot!

Welcome.

So you are to catch up on us,... eh! ;)

Well done. :)

That's good to see and we will have some fun doing this. ;):D

Hope to get to know you :) And if you have any questions: shoot!
For a start this disease can be confusing as one day you have a good BG control and the next no where near where you were as many things can get control harder. ;)

Hi Cathy: :)

Ahhh Yes. I know the Forum. :D I watched it Nicely grow from 24 or 28 members.

Do you enjoy using your Cozmo? I heard from others, that it is a pleasure to use.

Since you use a pump, we'd love to hear your experiences with it, if you wouldn't mind. And what difference have you found, that it has made with your A1c's? We have a pumping section to post in, as you have probably noticed.

Expanding one's horizons is usually a Good thing.

Feel free to add comments or answers, or if you have questions. We will try to do, for you.

LOL! Do you all read my topics in Flemish :D

Thank you for welcoming me. I will try to post as often as I can. I need to check out the new layout of this forum (I must say: it looks great! Love the logo) before I can give the best of me.

Please do not mind my crappy English, but it's been a while...

Hi Cathy,
Google translate is a wonderful tool. :) I did a lot of research online while planning where to take this site and remembered your username. And I know Merien - the owner of the .be site as he sold this site to me.

And your English reads a lot better than mine - and I'm from London. :)

Look forward to more posts.

Regards
Bob

Flemish?? I thought it was Dutch. ;) Your English is Good also.
Great photo of you. I like your glasses. You look like a cheerful Person. Nice to see.

Well Terrie! Dutch is the language we speak in school and at work or so. Flemish is the dialect spoken in Flanders. And Flemish has all different kinds of dialects. You can live in one town and speak this dialect and the town next to yours has a different dialect. But Flemish is a spoken language, not written. Sometimes though, Flemish words are written in Dutch texts. It's not supposed to be like that, compare it to chat or text language.
In Belgium, you have Flanders and Walloon. In Flanders, people speak Dutch (or Flemish, as you wish), In Walloon, they speak French. Both of the parts learn Flemish and French in school.

In Holland, they speak Dutch as well. The pronunciation is totally different from our Dutch. Most words are the same, but they sound different. Compare it to French-Canadian and French-French.

Thanks that you think of me as a cheerful person. I hope to be one too :D

Re- Welcome to the site :p As Terrie said I would love to hear about your pump. I am on the fence of trying out the pump. I want it but at the same time I am not sure if it is me or not.
