Yesterday I ordered my first Bento Box. Now I'm looking for great low-carb foods to fill it. Anybody???? What would you put in it?

Today I packed another similar lunch box to take to class:

Food Ingredient Cuisine Staple food Dish

It consisted of:

mango cut out as little bunnies
cucumber cut out as flowers
cold white rice in the form of a fish
cherry tomatoes
slices of carrot
1 package of whole wheat crackers
1 triangle cheese
olives
1 hard boiled egg, car shape
raspberries

How in the heck did you get a car shaped egg? That was such a festive looking lunch. Very interesting. Nice bento box, too. Not that I ever heard of a bento box. What a great set up.
Believe me Rubystar, the first time I heard about Bento Boxes was last week :D It looked so appealing to me that I had to try it. The box I used is a Lunch 'N Things container by Tupperware, not a real Bento Boxes. I ordered those and they should be on their way over here now :)

The egg shapers were bought last year. I saw those cute thingamajigs on eBay and I fell in love with it. So I bought a couple, not knowing they were used in combination with Bento Luncheons.

There's more information on Bento Boxes on this site

Hi Meurtelken, idea with BentoBox look great.
Do you eat it everyday, and if you do, you eat the same or change it?
Hi Lucas1980,

I used to use it to take it to computer classes I attented. I changed the menu every day (I prefer to make a monthly menu that does not have the same dish twice :p), according to what I had in the fridge and what my inpiration was.

Here's another example: Food Tableware Ingredient Kitchen utensil Recipe
This lunch is made in the original bento box.

This is what it contained:

0% fat free Greek yogurt
dried cranberries
cherry tomatoes
raw mushrooms
wrap with raw spinach, smoked salmon, cheese spread and onion
wrap with raw spinach, crab sticks, cheese spread

Yup. I'm moving to Belguim so Muertelken can make me awesome meals. Thank you for the link for the egg shapers. I think I am going to buy some. Those are too cute.
You're welcome! But I could move to the States as well? Hahaha! I would prefer that!

Just google bento box and you will find much more examples :)
