Has anyone heard of new technologies being developed for testing BG levels that aren't test strip based? I've heard of these glucose watches and the one that scans your eye for BG level. Are they more 'science fiction' at this point? Are we a long way away from having a constant glucose monitoring system that doesn't use a 'canula' inserted under the skin or a test strip? I know that there are many CGMS out that people with insulin pumps use.. but I'm looking for data outside of something that draws from a needle or uses the traditional pricking of a capillary.
